Q2 03 Bulletin SCF's newest platform company investment came about this last quarter with the launching of NuFlo Technologies, Inc. This is a result of a year-long study of numerous oilfield product line manufacturers, and the opportunities available to combine, build and create value with a significant new concept company.

Q1 03 Bulletin "Where there is crisis there is opportunity" As we look to the beginning of a new year and the potential energy crisis confronting us, we expect opportunities for the well positioned, well managed services companies to grow, diversify and expand.

Q2 02 Bulletin L.E. Simmons says this has been a year of conflicting signals in commodity prices, stock markets, and global and economic news. By using resources and imagination, however, to prudently but aggressively build a strong company, 2002 promises to be a successful year to be remembered with satisfaction.

Q4 01 Bulletin The broad economic slowdown continued through the fourth quarter of 2001. Some of our portfolio companies posted lower revenue and EBITDA than previously forecast. Others had to re-evaluate and react accordingly to be better positioned for the uncertainty of the 2002 market.
